Storing and Distributing Videos from OneDrive for Business

Please note that videos made available in OneDrive are downloadable. If you want to restrict video downloads, please consider these options.

OneDrive for Business accounts features 5TB of file storage. 

  1. Navigate to UGAMail Homepage (http://ugamail.uga.edu/)

  2. Select Log in to UGAMail

  3. Log in with your myid@uga.edu email and password.

  4. Click the App Launcher Icon at the top left corner of the screen

  5. Select the OneDrive icon

     

  6. Select “+ New” to create a new folder for your videos.

     

  7. Select the folder you wish to add videos to

  8. Drag-and-drop video files or select the upload icon. Video files should be in .mp4 format.

  9. Hover your mouse over the video you would like to share with students. The share icon will appear.

     

  10. The send link pop-up will appear. Adjust the access settings by selecting the “People you specify can edit” link.

     

  11. Select “Anyone with the link”, remove the option to allow editing, and hit apply.

     

  12. Select “Copy Link”

     

  13. Select “Copy” to capture the video link to your clipboard.

     

  14. Navigate to your course in eLC, select “Content”, and the module where you would like to place the link. Then, select “Upload/Create” and “Create a Link”.

     

  15. Add a title for the link, paste the link you copied from OneDrive in the URL field, check the option to “Open and External Resource” and hit “Create”.
