Protect your Intellectual Property:

If you allow students to download your recorded class lectures, be sure you are OK with giving up your IP rights. Once the files are downloaded, there is no way to stop students from posting and sharing at will.

Step 1: Create a Course Gallery in your eLC Course

Step 2: Add videos to the Gallery and set Download Options

  • Log into eLC

  • From the top horizontal menu bar select “Course Gallery”

    • The menu options should be “Course Home”, “Course Gallery”, “Content”, “Grades”, “Tools” or something similar

    • Once in the Course Gallery, select “+ Add Media” from the right side of the screen

    • Choose the video you want to upload by “checking” the box to the left of the video

    • Click “publish” on the top right of the screen

  • The video should now be present in your course gallery. Return to the course gallery and select the video to open it.

  • Under the video, select the “Actions” option

  • Then select “Edit”

  • Select the “Downloads” tab under the video

    • Check all of the boxes under downloads.

  • Click “Save”

 

 Process for students to download these instructional videos:

  1. Log into eLC

  1. Go to “Course Gallery”

  1. Select and open the video in the course gallery

  1. Click the drop-down option “Details”

  1. Choose “Download”

  1. select “Download File”
