Shipping and Receiving

Mail Services will continue to pick up and deliver mail to ensure continuity of operations. At this time, we will operate a M-WF 8-F 5 schedule of mail delivery to the Terry College of Business and mail will be sorted into departmental mailboxes in A108 as it is received those days.

We will receive UPS deliveries as they arrive as normal and have coordinated with our delivery driver for access. If anyone is expecting a package from FedEx please let us know of an expected delivery date or submit a request to FedEx to divert, postpone delivery, reschedule or hold.

Shelter-in-place Ordinance

March 19, 2020 the Athens-Clarke County Commission (ACC) adopted a local ordinance declaring a local state of emergency and imposing shelter-in-place requirements applicable to individuals and businesses in Athens-Clarke County. The ordinance become effective 3/20/2020 at midnight and will remain in effect until April 7, 2020, unless extended or rescinded by ACC. ACC’s announcement of the ordinance can be found here:  https://www.athensclarkecounty.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=3646

The ordinance’s shelter-in-place requirements are subject to several exceptions, one of which is for governmental agencies like the University of Georgia to continue performing “essential governmental functions.” The ordinance permits governmental entities to identify employees performing those functions, and those employees are permitted to travel to, from, and within Athens-Clarke County as necessary to perform their duties.

If you are designated as an essential employee by your unit, the ordinance allows you to travel as necessary in Athens-Clarke County to perform your job duties. UGA employees should continue to follow direction from their units as to their designation as an essential employee.  The University and Terry College of Business has no higher priority than the health and safety of our faculty, staff, and students, and we encourage all members of our community to continue to follow guidance from medical professionals and health authorities.

Individuals Prohibited from UGA Campus and Facilities

The U.S. State Department has declared a Global Level 3 Health Advisory.  If you have traveled anywhere outside the United States over Spring Break, you MUST NOT return to a UGA campus or facility.  Anyone who has traveled internationally in the past 14 days MUST self-quarantine until you have been asymptomatic for a period of 14 days from the date of entering/reentering the United States.
