Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) is displayed on your directory page as a button next to your photo and contact information. Clicking this button either opens your CV or downloads it, depending on your browser settings.

To upload your CV, follow these steps:

  1. Click Add File under Curriculum Vitae (located underneath the Biography text field). This opens the Select File window. If you have not previously uploaded a CV, no items will be found, as shown below.

  2. You can upload your CV by locating it in your computer’s file explorer, then dragging the file into the Select File window. Alternatively, you can click the Select Files button to open a file explorer window and navigate to the location of your CV file. It is recommended to upload your CV as a .pdf file.

The file is displayed in the Select File window after it is uploaded.

  3. Click the uploaded CV file to select it. A blue border is displayed when it is selected.

  4. Click Select in the bottom-right corner of the Select File window. The window closes and you are returned to your Edit Person page, where your CV is now displayed.

Replacing Your CV

You may wish to upload a new version of your CV if you have recently completed professional assignments and want to update your CV with them included. To replace your existing CV with a new one, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over your current CV to display the available options.

  2. Click the Edit icon (the pencil icon on the left). The Edit File window is displayed.

  3. Click Upload a new file. The Replace Media Upload page is displayed.

Note: Your browser may ask if you want to leave the current page to go to the Replace Media Upload page. Click the option that allows this to happen.

  4. You can upload your CV by locating it in your computer’s file explorer, then dragging the file into the New box. Alternatively, you can click anywhere in the New box to open a file explorer window and navigate to the location of your CV file.

The filename is displayed in the New box after it is uploaded.

  5. Under Replacement Options, select Replace the file, use the new file name, and update all links. While it’s uncommon for your CV to be uploaded anywhere on the website other than your directory page, this option ensures that any other links to your CV will also be replaced with this new file.

  6. Click Upload. A message is displayed that you will be redirected to the Edit Media page in five seconds, after which the page is displayed.

  7. Click Update in the Save box on the righthand column of the page. Your CV file is updated.

  8. Your CV file is updated, but the new file must be re-applied to your directory page. To do this, return to your Edit Person page and click Add File under Curriculum Vitae. The Select File window is displayed with the new CV file.

  9. Click the new CV file to select it. A blue border is displayed when it is selected.

  10. Click Select in the bottom-right corner of the Select File window. The window closes and you are returned to your Edit Person page, where your new CV is now displayed. The new CV is available to view on your directory page after you publish your changes.
