Publications
Publications you completed can be listed on your directory page. The Edit Person page classifies them as Working Papers (shown below), Journal Articles, Book Chapters, and Books.
You can upload your publications to the website and display them as links, allowing page visitors to click the link and access the file. It is recommended to upload your publications as .pdf files.
Uploading Files
You can upload publication files in the Working Papers, Journal Articles, Book Chapters, or Books fields. To upload a file, follow these steps:
In the desired publication type, click Add Publication. The Publication Citation and File Upload columns are displayed for the publication.
Click Add File. The Select File window is displayed.
You can upload your publication by locating it in your computer’s file explorer, then dragging the file into the Select File window. Alternatively, you can click the Select Files button to open a file explorer window and navigate to the location of your publication file.
Note: The maximum file size for a publication is 128 MB.
The file is displayed in the Select File window after it is uploaded. If you want to upload more than one publication, click Load More.Click the uploaded file to select it. A blue border is displayed when selected. If you uploaded multiple files, select all the files you want to display on your directory page.
Click Select in the bottom-right corner of the Select File window. The Select File window closes, and you are returned to your Edit Person page, where your file is now displayed with the publication. The file must have an accompanying Publication Citation (see next section).
Note: Click Add Publication if you want to upload another publication.
Publication Citation
You must include a Publication Citation with your uploaded publication. It is recommended to create a link in the citation to the uploaded publication file in the File Upload column.
To write a publication citation with a link to the publication, follow these steps.
Write the publication citation text in the Publication Citation text field, using the Bold and Italics formatting options as needed.
To link to your publication file, you must have the URL of the website assigned to the file when it was uploaded. Hover over the File Upload column to display the available options, then click the pencil icon on the left. The Edit File window is displayed.
The File URL is the URL of the website assigned to your publication. Click Copy URL to clipboard to copy it.
Click Update File to close the Edit File window. You are returned to your Edit Person page.
Highlight the publication name in the Publication Citation text field, then click the link icon. A search field is displayed.
Paste the File URL you copied in Step 3 into the search field.
Note: This link can be used elsewhere on the website, if needed. You do not need to re-upload the file if being used elsewhere.Click the blue box next to the search field to apply the link to the text. The text color changes to blue when the link is applied. After publishing this change to your directory page, website visitors will be directed to the page you linked with the text.
