Scrolling Text
Second Century Club and Ten For Terry donors are displayed as bottom-to-top scrolling text in each of their respective presentations. The names are provided to OMC by Terry Development and Alumni Relations (TDAR).
You can edit scrolling text list by accessing its placeholder in the presentation. To do this, follow these steps:
On the Presentations page, select Second Century - 2-Column List or Ten for Terry - 2-Column List. The presentation is displayed.
Select the Names placeholder. The only item listed in the placeholder is a text widget. This is where the scrolling names are stored.
Click Text Widget. The Text Settings window is displayed.
The bottom-to-top scrolling effect is not supported out of the box by Rise Vision. In order to give the placeholder the bottom-to-top effect, the text box containing the names must have multiple lines placed above and below it (this is done by pressing enter multiple times before and after the text box). Use the scroll bar to locate the text box in the editor.
NOTE: The spacing before and after the text box was carefully determined by the Digital Content Manager. It is recommended to not adjust the spacing unless it is required.Use the text box to perform the scrolling text edits. Use Merriweather Sans as the font type and 30px as the size. All text is center aligned.
Click Save when the edits are complete. The Text Settings window is closed and the presentation is displayed. The updated text will begin scrolling in its placeholder, giving you an opportunity to review its appearance before publishing.
Click Save, then Publish to save the changes and push them to the display.
