Tips for Setting up Quizzes in eLC

Tips for Setting up Quizzes in eLC

  • Associate quizzes with a grade item. If you don’t want students to view grades right away, you can hide grade items. Be sure to set your quiz grades to automatically export to the gradebook.

    • If quiz grades don’t export as they should, then navigate to “Tools” > “Quizzes” and, next to the quiz, click the drop-down arrow and choose “Grade”. To select all quiz attempts, put a check in the top checkbox. Above the list, click “Publish Feedback”.

  • Customize submission views. After students submit a quiz, if you don’t want them to see their grades, then navigate to the quiz and open it. Click “Submission views” > “Default view” and under “Score”, make sure the setting for “Show attempt score and overall attempt score” is unchecked.

If you are creating multiple versions of a quiz for specific student groups, make sure you use special permissions to restrict access.

  • After students have taken the exam, if you need to regrade (perhaps due to a wrong answer key or deciding to give extra points, then see the regrade quiz video guide.
