eLC Exam Review Sessions in Zoom
Quick Steps:
Prepare student: make them aware they will use their laptop or desktop webcam enabled video to connect with Zoom, or if necessary they can access Zoom via the app on a smart phone or tablet. Students should be made aware that they will not be allowed to record the session via zoom or third party tool. They should understand that the session will be monitored and that they will only have access to their exam attempt via Zoom screen share.
Schedule a session: Faculty or TAs will create their individual Zoom session for a single student.
Share meeting with student.
Find the student’s exam attempt in eLC. You can set this up minutes before you start the review session. Faculty/TA should navigate to the course, click on Quizzes. Then click on the down arrow beside the appropriate quiz. Then click Grade.
Search for the student in the user field and select the attempt. Make sure you begin inside the correct student's attempt to keep other student’s grades listed here confidential.
6. Start the Zoom session with the student. Verify the student’s identity in some way if you are not acquainted with the student (81#, Student ID, match picture in eLC, etc…). Make sure you can view the student’s webcam and then share your screen.
7. Scroll through the student’s attempt, focusing on incorrect answers, and address student questions. Be careful to only navigate within the student’s attempt; it’s easy to go back in the browser and accidently show the listing of attempts which may show other students' grades.
8. Complete the review session. End meeting for all in Zoom.
